Low-temperature, low-RH drying is similar to heated air grain drying but does not involve heat to lower the RH of the drying air. In contrast, the RH is decreased by other means such as circulation through a desiccant material, which adsorbs/removes moisture from the drying air. Understanding the relationship between temperature and moisture requires a method to measure humidity. Relative humidity (RH) expresses the amount of moisture in the air.
